Cement Australia Gap Sand is a specially formulated blend of graded fine sands and additives designed to securely lock brick and block paving in place.

Specification and Features

• Forms firm yet flexible joints between pavers up to 3mm wide
• Inhibits weed growth and insect infestation
• Allows slight movement without cracking or distortion
• Quick and easy to apply
• Not designed for use as grout; for joints larger than 3mm, use Cement Australia Sand & Cement
• Coverage: Approx. 3.5m² per 20kg bag for brick-shaped pavers at 3mm gap; 12m² for 400mm square pavers at 3mm gap

• Suitable for all types of brick and block paving
• Ideal for heavy traffic areas, driveways, pool surrounds, sloping sites, and windy locations
• Helps maintain joint stability and integrity
• Forms a pliable gel when wet, which firms upon drying

Usage Guidelines

• Lay pavers according to manufacturer’s instructions
• Sweep Gap Sand into joints with a stiff broom until fully filled
• Use a vibrating compactor, rubber mallet, or similar tool over the paved surface to settle the sand into the joints firmly
• Sweep away excess sand and mist spray the surface lightly to activate bonding
• Avoid heavy spraying or flooding
• Allow 3 days for the Gap Sand to bond before using the paved area
