Concrete slabs separated by decorative pebbles form a very attractive path as seen on many of the reality programs like Burke's Backyard and The Block. Some slabs are reinforced which provide extra strength. Ideally slabs should be laid on a bed of river sand to evenly support the slab and assist in keeping the slab level.
