Bayferrox® 686 is a very dark iron oxide brown pigment supplied as a powder, specifically designed for colouring a wide variety of construction materials. When added to pure cement, it creates deep red-brown shades in concrete, mortar, grout, or render. The pigment becomes firmly integrated into the mix, making it weather resistant, alkaline resistant, and both economical and environmentally friendly. Adjust the amount by volume to achieve the desired shade, based on the cement content in your mix.

Usage Guidelines

Mix oxide by volume based on the cement content, not total aggregate. Typical starting point: 5% oxide by weight of cement. For darker tones, increase up to a maximum of 10% by weight of cement; adding more will not deepen the shade further. To lighten, use less oxide. Always test a small batch to confirm the final colour before large-scale use.
