Add this sandstone oxide pigment directly to pure cement to create warm, natural sandstone tones in concrete, mortar, grout, or render. Lighter shades can be achieved by reducing the amount of oxide used. Always add the oxide by volume rather than weight, and base the quantity on the cement portion of your mix, excluding sand or aggregate. Please refer to the packaging for detailed instructions. Sample preparation details: a 3:1 sand-to-cement ratio (by weight) was used with a 5% oxide dosage relative to cement weight. Cements tested included Boral Blue Circle Builders Cement and Boral Blue Circle Off White Cement, combined with fine sand. Individual trials are recommended to achieve your desired colour.

Usage Tips

Adjust oxide dosage to lighten or darken shades—up to 10% by weight of cement for deeper colours. Exceeding 10% will not increase colour intensity. Always measure oxide by volume, based on cement content only. Colour results may vary, so testing on a small sample before large projects is recommended.
